Board Member and Vice President of UJMASAF

Mabushe Tsima is a South African mining professional, media entrepreneur, and industry advocate. He is a graduate of the University of Johannesburg, where he obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEngTech) in Mining Engineering in 2022.


With over seven years of industry experience, Mabushe has built his career in underground mining, specializing in drill-and-blast operations and production mining. He is a holder of a Blasting Certificate and Shift Boss Certificate, and is currently a candidate for the Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency, reflecting his commitment to professional growth and leadership within the
mining industry. 


Mabushe is the Managing Director of The Miner Group, a mining media and communications company dedicated to amplifying African mining stories, promoting industry dialogue, and connecting professionals across the mining value chain. He is also widely recognized as the founder and host of The Miner
Podcast, one of South Africa’s growing mining media platforms, known for its insightful conversations with industry leaders, professionals, academics, and innovators. 


A firm believer in the transformative power of communication, Mabushe advocates for the use of storytelling, knowledge-sharing, and media as tools to drive innovation, promote transformation, and create meaningful impact within the mining sector and society at large.
