Mr. Moses Netshivhazwaulu is an accomplished mining professional and leader with extensive experience in mine management, operational leadership,and strategic business execution. He currently serves as General Manager at Impala Platinum (Implats) and has built a distinguished career spanning senior leadership roles across some of South Africa’s leading mining operations. Prior to joining Impala Platinum, Mr. Netshivhazwaulu served as Vice President and Head of Mining Operations at Kloof Operations. He subsequently held the posi;on of Vice President responsible for Beatrix Operations, where he provided strategic leadership and opera;onal oversight for one of the country’s key gold mining assets.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated closely with executive leadership teams to establish and drive organisational vision and operational strategy. His experience includes translating corporate objectives into actionable operational plans, managing life-of-mine
processes, improving productivity, leading multidisciplinary teams, and fostering a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and high performance.
Mr. Netshivhazwaulu holds a Master of Philosophy (Corporate Strategy), a BTech in Mining Engineering, and a National Diploma in Mining Engineering. He has also completed the Global Executive Development Programme (GEDP), demonstrating his commitment to executive leadership and strategic management. Professionally, he holds the Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency, Mine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency, Production Supervisor Certificate, and Permanent Blasting Certificate. These qualifications reflect his extensive technical experise and leadership capability within the mining sector.
Recognised for his strategic thinking and leadership capabilites,Mr. Netshivhazwaulu has successfully managed complex mining environments while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, governance standards, safety protocols, and operational best pratices. His experience spans mine operations, workforce management, business planning, organisational development, and sustainable mining practices.

(UJMASAF), Mr. Netshivhazwaulu plays a key role in driving the organisation’s programmes,
projects, and strategic initatives aimed at strengthening alumni engagement, supporting student development, and advancing the mining and surveying professions.
